It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything. I’ve been preparing for a local vendor event. Now that that’s done, it’s back to business. I found this oooo so cute project at Scrimpingmommy, Amanda Charlesworth, a demonstrator in the U.K. She calls this a lollipop card. I think they are adorable. These would be really cute in a Easter Basket or a bouquet for Mother’s Day. How about a table centerpiece for a baby or bridal shower. The ideas are endless. They’re not difficult to make and are well worth the time.
Supplies used from the Occasions catalog: Falling in Love Designer Series Paper, Lace Dollies, Falling in Love Embellishments. Items from the Annual catalog: Soft Sky card stock, 5/8″ Organza Ribbon, Duet Banner punch and Delicate White Dollies. I also used the metallic ribbon from the Sale-a-Bration catalog. I picked up the paper straws at Michaels. The blue ribbon has been retired.
If you’d like to purchase any of these items don’t hesitate to contact me. Remember, Sale-a-Bration ends March 31st. For every $50 you spend (before taxes & shipping) you can pick a Sale-a-Bration item.
Thanks for stopping by.
I ❤ Thursday’s, the last working day of my week. It seems I’m always trying to figure out when I can steal a few minutes to stamp. I feel like my life is crazy. Working a full time job, raising kids, maintaining relationships, cleaning, shopping, cooking. Wow it makes me tired just thinking about it. On those occasions when I’m pressed for time, a quick and easy card, like this one satisfies my stamping craving. Hope you like it!
Stamps: Work of Art & Watercolor Words; Card Stock: Sweet Sugarplum, Very Vanilla & Basic Black; Playful Palette paper stack; Inks: Sweet Sugarplum, Wild Wasabi & Basic Black. Accessories: 2016-2018 Enamel Shapes, Blender Pen & Stampin Demenstionals. All items can be found in the Annual Catalog.
Feel free to contact me with any questions or if you’d like to place an order
Till next time……Have an AWESOME day!
I should probably be focusing on Easter, but this bundle screams Mother’s Day. I’ve seen this basic card design all over Pinterest and YouTube. My inspiration came from Dawn Griffith. She’s amazing!!
This card uses the Floral Phrases stamp set and the Detailed Floral thinlits which can be found in the annual catalog. When purchased as a bundle you save 10%. In addition I used Wisteria Wonder classic ink and card stock, Very Vanilla card stock and the 3/8″ Metallic Ribbon from the Sale-a-Bration catalog.
Remember…..enjoy the simple things in life!
Have a GREAT day.
This 3 x 3 card is from the Oh Happy Day card kit. It’s super cute. A friend whipped this up in just minutes. The card kit contains everything you need to make 20 cards in various sizes, envelopes included. Everything is precut and ready to go. The kit comes with a coordinating stamp set (block included), coordinating Stampin Spots (these are mini ink pads) and all the cute embellishments needed. What a great project for the kids!
Check out the all-inclusive kits by clicking the Stampin’ Up! link above. You can also contact me for further information or to place an order. Orders of $50 or more are eligible for a free product from our Sale-a-bration catalog. Don’t delay, this promotion ends March 31st.
Thanks so much for stopping by and supporting Something So Simple.
Check it out….it’s bigger than the standard 4 1/4 x 5 1/2. I was in the mood to mix it up a bit, live on the edge (haha) so I made this card 6 x 5 1/2 and I really like it. I used the Balloon Adventures stamp set from the Occasions catty (one of my favorites) and the Balloon pop-up thinlits die. Bermuda Bay & Crumb Cake card stock and inks and Serene Scenery Designer Series paper. I also used Enamel Shapes from the Brights Collection and the Banner Triple punch.
Feel free to contact me for more information about purchasing these items. Don’t forget the Occasions catalog is good through May 31st . Sale-A- bration ends March 31st. Order $50 and choose a free stamp set from the Sale-A-Bration catalog. You can view the Sale-A-Bration, Occasions and Annual catalogs by following the Stampi’ Up! link above.

Bye for now.
Here’s my customer/hostess thank you gifts. I love them. This is the diaper fold made from the 6×6 Sending Love DS paper stack. The heart is from the Love Notes framelits. Real Red card stock and a little bling. I added a ghirardelli chocolate, some red paper shred and a little stamp. These particular stamps are from the demonstrator only supplies. They all have a “hand stamped by” saying on them. I purchased them many years ago. Unfortunately they are no longer available. ☹️
Since I used 6×6 paper, the pockets are a little small. I made 8×8 but they were a bit to big. The smaller size was way to cute to pass up.
Please contact me if you are interested in purchasing any of the items.
Thanks for stopping in. Have a spectacular day!!!
A continuation from my earlier post….I thought I would pop a couple pics in here of my traditional scrapbooking style. Just a little comparison between Project Life and traditional. Most of the items you see, the monkey, the tree’s, the coconuts, banana’s, the flowers were all made with Stampin’ Up! punches. The creation of the elements made with the punches was not my idea (unfortunately I don’t remember where I saw it), but once I started I just ran with it. Although it was time consuming, I was really happy with the finished product. If you’d like, leave a comment about your scrapbooking style.
Finally. With the holidays and all the birthdays we have this time of year, I haven’t had time to work on my Project Life. Well, I did it! As a traditional scrapbooker I was a little skeptical with a new style of scrapbooking. I thought it seemed impersonal. After completing a couple of pages, pretty quick I might add, I’m crazy about it. For me traditional scrapbooking can take hours. It can also be pain staking, putting a page together and then tearing it apart because it doesn’t quite capture what you want it to. Now, I’m not going to give up traditional scrapbooking, but I will definitely incorporate Project Life. Project Life is a great way to preserve the little things in life we take for granted. Like, snapping a photo of your favorite Starbucks coffee. Commit to taking a photo every day. Preserve the memories of the little things that make up your daily life.
As always, thanks for stopping in. Feel free to contact me with any questions.

Have a super day…..
I had a hostess request a Valentine’s Day themed Stampin’ Up! party. In keeping with her request, I customized the party invitations. I think it high lights what Stampin’ Up! is about, especially to those who may not be familiar with SU. Unfortunately, it wasn’t until I had about 20 of these done before I realized I had put 2016 . UGH!!
Hope you like it in spite of my error. Thanks for stopping in. Feel free to contact me with any questions.
